Hard to say

The best I've ever owned are a GT3RS and R8.
Although the Cayman R and Boxster Spyder are certainly 'drivers' cars as well.

The dream car is a BAC Mono. smile That would be awesome!!
I take great pride in the fact that I've never owned a car with four doors! LOL

Roll Call - what's your favorite car?

 By: ThomasM : December 10th, 2012-08:46
Hi, As the work week gets kick started, but we all know most of December is spent thinking about the holidays coming up (and in the US, the Thanksgiving holidays that just finished) how about some fun mental exercises for the recommended "10 minute breaks...

I'll start - Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT 2012 or 2013

 By: ThomasM : December 10th, 2012-09:17
Sports car - They say you are hardest on those you love; I love the sports car category, and there are so many powerful, compelling considerations because of this - reliability; drop dead good looks; performance that won't leave you shamed by the tuner mo...

Always a BMW in your list :-) but may I ask...

...why a 740iL instead of 750iL? Better feel ? Regards

 By: ThomasM : December 13th, 2012-21:47
Hi, Jacky, I'm a big 12 cylinder fan, but the engine must offer some benefit for its weight and complexity. the 750iL is a great car but it lacks the balance of the 740iL handling-wise. And the power isn't superior enough - torquey, smooth, seemingly endl...

I see...

 By: Jacky : December 14th, 2012-21:47
I have not tried the 750il thus can't comment but I understand where you coming from. Balance is important factor to a car's feel and BMW is very much about that. I guess it's not difficult to restore a e38 and especially at today's value. However given t...

 By: Dje : December 10th, 2012-11:30
Hi, Don't look at the title, that was just for the fun. The best car I've driven was easily the SLS. But the C63 Coupe was possibly more fun. On the other way the C63 experience was already feeling like a "under the rain" day even if it was totally dry! T...

LOL! Lada, huh?

 By: ThomasM : December 10th, 2012-21:38
:-) The want to love the Rapide, but those rear seats...hmmm the C63 is a blast for sure! Thanks for participating! TM

My pleasure Thomas

 By: Dje : December 10th, 2012-23:26
Hi, The more I think of it, the more I imagine myself with a C63. That Rapide rear seats are not for you and me Thomas, just for children and young women! :-) No way I get in those for a few kilometers, I'd rather walk! Best Dje

Cars I have owned Probably my best all-round car was a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo TSI Limited, with the works. I had it while I lived in Melbourne in the years from 1998 to 2000. A dream to drive off and on roads. But a but (very) hefty on the petrol...

About that video...

 By: ThomasM : December 12th, 2012-13:17
Hi, Bimb, That video is interesting. The sound at the exhaust is, frankly, too "raspy" for my preference. I am also surprised, knowing how quick that thing must be, how long it too to reach 256kph (160mph)...I frequently hear about people "hitting 150mph"...

My favorite car is usually the one I just traded in.. I am sure a few years of therapy can solve this. My bucket list sports car would consist of a Ferrari 250 GT or a Aston Martin DB6. But I will settle for this toy. 1963 Corvette I think my favorite dai...

bureaucracy and traffic laws...

 By: ThomasM : December 12th, 2012-13:26
Hi, Nilo, I believe traffic laws are necessary for our safety and sanity (rules and laws in general ...) But very often I have to suspect many of them, and their enforcement, is mainly revenue generators for the government disguised as safety guidelines.....

Here is not a matter of "suspect" ...

 By: nilomis : December 12th, 2012-15:17
It's a fact. Most common cheat is to drop, from 60 to 40 and hide a speed camera. To me this negates the security because one needs to divide the driving attention between the road and the speed cameras. But, despite of that, life goes on. Cheers, Nilo
