Baselworld 2010 - A visit to the Bell&Ross stand!

Mar 26, 2010,09:00 AM

I've just got back from a hectic two day visit to Baselworld, and was fortunate to be invited by Bell&Ross to view their new watches for 2010. It's the first time I've ever been to Baselworld, and is such a great event, but even better if you can actually spend some time with a brand that you love and looking at some great new watches!

On arrival, Monday 22nd - the sun was shining, and so was my heart, knowing that I would be seeing the new vintage range and Military ceramic!

When you enter the halls, the stands are fantastic, and you just want to take loads of photos (Despite there being loads of signs about saying 'No photography in the halls' - everyone did it!

Bell&Ross,Baselworld

Bell&Ross was located in a great position in the hall- and their stand was an impressive three story 'house'!

On the outside of the stand 3 walls where covered in windows, and in each window a collection of 'classic' models where presented. A lot of other brands presented their new collections as part of the window display, but B&R didn't - making it all more important to get an invite to see the new stuff!

I photographed all the watches here, and here's a couple of my fav models!

Then inside the stand, it was very cool - 3 floors - mostly filled with private booths for clients to receive presentations on the watches...

Bell&Ross,Baselworld

See this client clearly enjoying himself....Like a child in a toy shop I think!

There was also bars on every floor, serving champagne, and small nibbles... I don't think anyone really eats at Baselworld, because it's so busy people just graze on small Canapés!

Cabinets filled with the new releases...

And on the top floor a great lounge area to chill out in... see here, Robert (B&R USA rep) Simon C (B&R Rockstar) , Marc Slushzny (Action man) and Phillippe (A regular on the official forum)!

The walls where filled with great photography...

I took with me my trusty 02, and fitted on it a custom Rob montana, which got some great comments (B&R dudes) and some negative ones... (Bruno: he didn't like it!)

So onto the watches themselves, you've already seen loads of them - so just to recap...

01 / 03 instruments...

Okay, so maybe you need to buy two of these for maximum effect....!

I loved this 94 commando - Very chunky, but personally I feel it is a better watch than the phantom, because it's readable!

Bell&Ross,Baselworld

The new Phantom 03-94.... The 03-94 is one of the best sizes.... small 42mm case but nice and chunky!

The vintage range was the highlight for me!
They look really great, but even better the price of all of these watches is very good - they cost a lot less than a basic 03-92 model - you get alot of watch for your money!

The DOMED crystal is brilliant...You see this on a few other watches, but such a brilliant showstopper on these watches!

B&R are only going to reserve the original heritage strap for the 01 heritage... all the others are going to get this design...

They look great as a set along with the Square ones...

finally, we also got to look at some prototypes... Photos will be coming later, but you can see from the grin on this dude's face... there was some nice stuff!

I want to thank Bell&Ross for inviting us over, it was a fantastic event, and hopefully I'll get to go again next year!

Welcome to PuristSPro and what a great post for your 1st post here! I love the army green Bell & Ross BR-03 93, and I wouldn't be surprised to see other brands making cases this color as well. Cheers, Anthony This message has been edited by AnthonyTsa...

the commando is a charm, the army green is a step in forward where others didn't yet, and the 123 is another beauty, and for the price i find them very attractive, the size also allow it to be suitable at 41mm for many wrists . Thanks Faisal

Great report.

I have the airborne among a few B&R's and I think I will have to try and secure one of those badges. I think B&R is doing a great job in transitioning the case shape or should I say adding the new case shape to the line up. I especially like the p...
