I've just got back from a hectic two day visit to Baselworld, and was fortunate to be invited by Bell&Ross to view their new watches for 2010. It's the first time I've ever been to Baselworld, and is such a great event, but even better if you can actually spend some time with a brand that you love and looking at some great new watches!
On arrival, Monday 22nd - the sun was shining, and so was my heart, knowing that I would be seeing the new vintage range and Military ceramic!
When you enter the halls, the stands are fantastic, and you just want to take loads of photos (Despite there being loads of signs about saying 'No photography in the halls' - everyone did it!
Bell&Ross was located in a great position in the hall- and their stand was an impressive three story 'house'!
On the outside of the stand 3 walls where covered in windows, and in each window a collection of 'classic' models where presented. A lot of other brands presented their new collections as part of the window display, but B&R didn't - making it all more important to get an invite to see the new stuff!
I photographed all the watches here, and here's a couple of my fav models!
Then inside the stand, it was very cool - 3 floors - mostly filled with private booths for clients to receive presentations on the watches...
See this client clearly enjoying himself....Like a child in a toy shop I think!
There was also bars on every floor, serving champagne, and small nibbles... I don't think anyone really eats at Baselworld, because it's so busy people just graze on small Canapés!
Cabinets filled with the new releases...
And on the top floor a great lounge area to chill out in... see here, Robert (B&R USA rep) Simon C (B&R Rockstar) , Marc Slushzny (Action man) and Phillippe (A regular on the official forum)!
The walls where filled with great photography...
I took with me my trusty 02, and fitted on it a custom Rob montana, which got some great comments (B&R dudes) and some negative ones... (Bruno: he didn't like it!)
So onto the watches themselves, you've already seen loads of them - so just to recap...
01 / 03 instruments...
Okay, so maybe you need to buy two of these for maximum effect....!
