Hi Nicolas

The 38mm MUT in steel is not available 'pret-a-porter' from JLC with pin buckle, you only get the choice on the precious metal version.

I will try posting dodgy phone pics later tonight if I get time.

It has a large '21' on the under side of one of the straps next to the lugs which can only really mean 21mm and this I confirmed with my own amateur ruler measuring technique.  I used the same method to get the 17mm reading off the deployant and strap itself - are you sure it is 18mm?  I am trying to order one but it's proving difficult and so far every AD has given me me a different reading!

The 'LH' is again a large embossing on the underneath of the other strap side, also near the lugs.  It's definitely an OEM JLC strap BTW.

Thanks as ever for your great input.

Best  G.

What does 'LH' insignia mean on straps?

Hi I recently picked-up a 38mm MUT in steel. Will try to post pics when I get time. IMO the pin fits this watch better - the deployant is thicker than the watch. Does anyone know what the 'LH' sign stands for on inside of strap? Just wanted to ensure I ha...

Uhh...

"Left-Hand?" "Luxury Horlogerie?" Dean

What I know is that the MUT 38 is available on a folding or pin buckle.

If you could post pics, it will be easier to give you an opinion. Your JLC AD should give you an answer about the right measure of the strap. I tried to find the information for you,n but I didn't manage to get something helpful. I agree with you on your ...

'LH'?

BTW I had another think about what 'LH' could mean on my ride back from work yesterday. LEFT HAND! ('LH' is embossed on the LHS strap when you view the watch face down with crown pointing away. Sounds plausible. Genius!

Louis Huitton, maybe? :)))

Correction.

I just found that the buckle is 18 mm large, not 17. I would be surprised that the strap is 21 mm between the lugs. I'd say 20 maximum, maybe 19. Best, Nicolas

I read on an official document that there was a choice between the pin and the folding buckle for both the SS and the RG version, as well as the size of the buckle, 18 mm. I don't doubt you read "21" on the underside of the strap, but I feel a bit surpris...

Thanks

Hi Nicolas Actually I did ask a few ADs before purchase if a buckle version was available on SS, but they confirmed (having apparently called JLC) it was not and would have to be ordered separately. In the large ring-binder AD sales catalogue there is onl...

You were right about the size between the lugs: 21 mm. You were wrong about the size of the buckle: 18 mm. It has been confirmed to me that BOTH the folding and the pin buckle are available for Both the SS and the RG MUT 38. Hope this will be of some help...

What I said...

...about ADs not knowing their stuff is then official too! So unless there is some regional variation (I'm in UK), looks like I just paid for a deployant I didn't need. Shame. Anyway, this is of great help, at least I now know what to order. Thanks again ...
