Cronotempvs II by Speake-Marin (1)

On December 1st, in Geneva, a group of friends (a Club, I should say) picked up the result of a 1 year project called "Cronotempvs II". This is how it started...
With the incredible cooperation of Peter Speake-Marin and of the "soul" of our Club, Dario, the process went ahead. Peter was flexible enough to acommodate a good number of not-so-easy demands from a group of fairly spoilt watch lovers... And so, the production process began...
Peter "tortured" us with drop by drop information which only made us more and more excited about the project.
The design is obviously based on Speake-Marin´s 42mm typical case, but with a good number of variations which make the Cronotempvs II a rather unique watch.
The case hosts an Eros 1 movement with a power reserve of 120 hours.
On the back, the very distinct rotor, Peter´s signature:
One of the most remarkable features of the watch is its dial. I hope at some point in this thread someone more litterate than me comes in to explain the uniquie features of its ellaboration.
Here, you may see both the dial and the date wheel. Note how the date wheel is fully "luminoved", which will explain part of the beauty of this dial while at dark...
The aspect of the watch in the dark is just incredible... The date illumination, while only valid to read the date for the first hour or so, serves to keep the perfect balance of the dial at night.
Here is a photo of the last phase of the production of our club-watch. To me, the most torturing of all that we had in advance of the delivery since it was obviously sooooo close...
