i think that the reset second mechanism is a great feature. My only question to anyone, mainly Art is why Germany hasnt developed a chronometer certification system of their own? best Graham

. . . the chronometer certificates are issued by the Observatory in Glashütte. The testing is performed on the encased movement, which strikes me as more relevant than the COSC method of testing uncased movements . . . cordially, Art

Art, thanks for finding that out. interesting that they are doing it encased. perhaps that is in preperation for the new rulings reported to be coming in for swiss encased certification. a much better way of doing it. best Graham
