A sneak peek of some of the Maurice Lacroix BaselWorld 2012 Collections prototypes was organised by DKSH recently in Singapore.

For a  start, a change at the  Maurice Lacroix S.A. top position.  After DKSH acquired a major shareholding of Maurice Lacroix SA last summer,
Marc Glaser (previously International Sales Director) is appointed as the Managing Director of Maurice Lacroix SA, beginning of 2012.

As the pieces displayed were prototypes, some components and parts may changed. Thus movement pictures were not posted.

Starting with the MasterPiece Collection ...

Starting with the new Masterpiece Roue Carrée Seconde Gold, limited to 88 pieces.

A continuation of the popular square wheel mechanism series.  The square wheel mechanism was jointly developed and designed by engineer watchmaker Michel Vermot in collaboration with the Haute Ecole Arc du Locle,  To get the gearing system working , the wheels were made using LiGA technology, a process combining the techniques of photolithography and electroforming to precisely producing the shape of the gear-teeth.

By the way, Michel Vermot now runs the Movement Development Department at Maurice Lacroix.

While many of Maurice Lacroix models are too busy for my taste the Pontos S and Phases are really attractive pieces and I can't wait to see them after release.
