Existential question on the Railmaster CK 2914.

Nov 23, 2011,02:44 AM

Hello my friends,

I am doing my homework on Railmaster CK 2914, but I see sme controversial informations on the hands.

So you are my last resort...

The question is:

Do the hands on the CK 2914 have to be dauphine, or one of them has to be arrow?

I saw a CK 2914-4 with Dauphine hands, while I found the same hands on a -2.

Is there a rule there?

Thank you so much for your answers.

Best,

Nicolas.

They are all too modest. Best regards, George

I've seen a bit less, but with many contradictory informations, and no ref post.

I am no specialist, just an amateur but here is what I found out. There is published evidence of both broad arrow hour + dauphine minute hands AND dauphines for both in advertising during the first short period when the Railmaster was produced. My observa...

Agreed – both.

I have images of original adverts for both styles, so clearly they were both used. Cheers, Tony C.

Thank you alot, Ztirual and Tony.

So, there is no specific rule about Arrow hands and -1, -2, -3 and so on CK 2914? That would explain why we saw both of this kind of hands. Thank you so much, it will help me on my hunts. To Ztirual: I completely agree with your criterias. Best, my friend...
