…and finally had the opportunity of buying this Hampton just a couple of months ago:

 

I’m so happy with it!

And think the Capeland Chrono would make a good companion smile

I've always considered B&M to be a "best-bang-for-the-buck" brand, however they've been sleeping over the past few years. I've also noticed that B&M goes through approximately 5-year periods of heavy marketing, followed by roughly the same of redu...

is beautiful! I think this confirms the gaining trend of vintage style watches becoming the next big thing, re: Montblanc, etc... The only thing is, why not just get a vintage watch, one asks oneself??? I am not a B and M fan, but I'd happily wear that mo...

Mostel, Its more convenient to get a new 'vintage' watch The movement is working as new and the dials/hands are not restored. The crown is not a fake replecement. Other brands with new 'old' designs of chronographs are Breguet, AP, Zenith, Omega.... Regar...

when i saw that rg capeland chrono. that is a beautiful piece and i'm incredibly pleased to see something like this come out of b&m. i hope they continue in this vein in years to come.

As someone pointed out, many brands are going back the vintage chronograph route. Breguet, AP, Omega, Zenith, PP etc but not at Baume & Mercier pricing...well, except maybe Zenith. Regards, MTF

..did they have to spoil such a beautiful looking watch as the new Capeland with a DATE display? - it absolutely destroys the vintage look. what a shame, they should have followed GO on the Sixties Chrono who avoided compromising the balance of the watch ...
