Hi,
Is called a "breguet style pocketwatch". A term we use in the auction world. Breguet, as now, was very famous and his style was very unique that people could
identify his pieces from a distance. Also like today, others would try to copy this style. These piece usually date to around 1830ish, I have seen another with a
different dial...they have a 4 jewel cylinder escapement (which is engraved on the back). While it is not genuine breguet, it is not worthless either....you just wont be retiring to an island anytime soon 
For me the story and history behind it is terrific and who knows.....maybe the kaiser didnt know either?
