Dad gave me this Breguet

Hello!  I'm new here.  My father gave me a Breguet pocket watch last night.  It was my great grandfather's on my father's side of the family.  It was reportedly given to my great grandfather by Kaiser Wilhelm I in appreciation upon his retirement. I need to get more information on that though.  I believe my great grandfather was a palace guard for the Kaiser but I have no more specifics on that.

My father left it with a local watch repair guy who tagged it with "1870 repeater"  I don't know how accurate that is.  Here are some pictures.  Anyone know what I have here? Can I retire to a tropical island maybe?

There's the overall "look" of the movement, it just looks wrong, but that's kinda hard to explain, so here are some specific details: 1. the screws, the heads are all approximately the same diameter. On A.L. Breguet and shortly post watches, the screw hea...

Hi, Sorry for the late response.... aaronm is right on all aspects.....the finishing and I will add: the balance wheel, which is the real givewaway here. As you stated, its very interesting on the inside and still a repeater nevertheless. These early Breg...
