Yes, you are right. I think it has to do with Remi's personality.
We celebrate watches by independents which do not come even close to this one in terms of innovation and execution. It is really really hard to make complicated watches thin. We often forget about that.

Certainly not cheap - but when you have Dufour level finishing plus a movement designed from scratch and a unique complication (with the "anywhere"), I would almost say it is a bargain given where the prices for independents have gone.
What movement is this? I don't see
