Sort of.... Duometre Chronograph, black dial, white gold case / Patek 5070 G. One is in my dreams, the other is on my wrist. One is uber fine, the other is uber cool. Two " pleasure " watches, undisputably. Best, Nicolas...
Two outstanding chronographs...

Thanks a lot for the nice picture of this duo! Handwind chronographs have the little something that make them attractive. Fx
With pleasure.

Here you are... Best, Nicolas ...
Great pair......

sumptuous comparison...I would love to have both....I am only half way there...like you.... Its more difficult to get my fav 5070 than the Duo. the charm of the Patek is so great...The Duo is the Duo. Mo
I hope so...

lets wait and see what the fate will have for us... Mo
It is one of my horological priority.

Certainly one of the watches I miss the most, in my collection and on my wrist. Now the question is which one, between this gorgeous Black dialed Chrono and the very tempting UTT... Both? ;) Best, Nicolas
I should have bought the 5070 when I could afford it...

...my salary has never caught up with the price increases of this model... :( Although I believe I would be equally happy with the Duo. The only thing I don't like from the Duo is the small dials, because of my poor sight. So I guess I should be content j...
I love your last sentence a lot, my friend Juan.
By: amanico : October 13th, 2013-10:20
As for the small dials, I sadly know and live what you are meaning. But this is such an exceptional Watch that I can live with that. After all, we admire time, we don't read it... since a long time! ;) Best, Nicolas
I had both...
By: amanico : October 13th, 2013-10:21
The only issue is that I was burglared soem three years ago, and that the Duometre was part of the stolen watches... Best, my friend. Nicolas
Aaaah Nicolas, between the two "mon coeur balance"..
By: Sandgroper : October 14th, 2013-05:39
but in the end I know it will lean to the left:) as I already have the "right" mouvement:) I really want to try this Duometre with the black dial...alas there are so many I would like to try:):) Cheers and thank you for the beautiful picture. Francois
They are playing in a different league.

Let's say that if I was after a fine chorongraph, then I would choose the JLC. If I am after a cool chronograph, with a lor of class, too, I would go for the Patek. AND, if I am the greedy guy I am, I wold go for both. ;) Best, Nicolas
GREAT one-two..

which order? I can't decide... great photos and awesome casebacks...
I just keep coming back to this picture....

......of course, I have never owned the Duo and owned (but sold) my 5070G. As you know, I have played with the idea of getting a second 5070 to go with my P..... your picture goes a long way to deciding which 5070 would be a perfect match for the P. I kno...
Absolutely gorgeous both timepieces dear Nicolas...
By: Subexplorer : October 18th, 2013-12:10
... I would chose the PP, I´m so partial to chronos! An this PP chrono is simply superb. Not to say I don´t like the JLC, just thinking which one (only one) I would chose. I kept thinking in your sentence: "these are pieces to admire, not to read the time...
Each of them is playing a different partition, as I wrote.
By: amanico : October 18th, 2013-12:13
i would say that mechanically speaking, the Duometre wins. In terms of sophistication, too. But in terms of coolness, the Patek wins. So, you can't go wrong, here. Un abrazo, Amigo. Nicolas. " We don't read the Time, we admire it ". ;)
Beautiful Duometre chrono!

My chrono itch is starting again and the JLC Duometre Chrono is indeed a strong candidate should I get my first JLC! Thanks Nicolas for the pic and comparison. Cheers Robin
