Though the 190 is certainly beautiful, the Ti case and brown dial appeal to me a bit more.

190 or 346?
By: MiniCooper : February 13th, 2010-03:43
Which 8 days pam do you prefer? 190 with JLC movement or the new 346 with an in-house movement? Thanks... Cheers
I much prefer the 190...

And its JLC movement, to the 346 " in house " movement ... Well, let's not speak about the movements, but about the dial, which is to me the most important thing when it comes to Panerai: The Date kills which would have been, once again, IN MY OPINION AND...
I could have guessed.....

your reply my friend... I also agree on the date..... It would be quite interesting to see which of the two will eventually be more collectible/desirable..... Cheers
I didn't know....

that 346 was thicker..... I also agree on the date.... Cheers
i like both although

i have not seen the 346 in the flesh but both seem striking
190

But clearly, I'm biased....
Me too.....

For me, the 190 because it's in steel
By: AnthonyTsai : February 13th, 2010-08:11
If the PAM346 came in a steel version (instead of the current titanium) with the same combo or even black dial w/ gold hands, then definitely the PAM346 hands down for me. Cheers, Anthony

Like Anthony, if 346 was a 190, then it would be hands down 190.
So.....

you prefer the date on the dial? cheers
190 for me too...

however I'm having problems tracking one down in mint condition....I'm in no rush thankfully..!! The 346 could have been almost a perfect replacement if it wasn't for the date window, the different case matrial and thickness wasn't really a problem and di...
Good luck....

finding one.... it is a great watch Cheers
190 over 346 tentatively...
By: drehy : February 14th, 2010-06:11
At least until I see it in the metal, as many has stated I'm not so sure about the date & loupe But 323 over both as it has a 47mm case and a non-loupe date, only thing which bothers me about the watch is the sub-dial above 6 o'clock Of all the new releas...

you are biased my friend.... just like me.... Cheers
This is a tough one PinkPanther.

Until we can live with the 346 for a while, I give my vote to the 190. The 346 must be given a chance though. Here's how it breaks down for me: Case - 246 Dial - 190 Movement - toss up Wearability - tbd Best, Jed

a tough one but I am biased..... Cheers
190 all the way.

It is one of the best Pams ever made, IMHO.

By: iwcfan2 : February 20th, 2010-04:50
For a few reasons: I actually very much prefer having the date at 3 o'clock. As someone else mentioned, it gives the dial balance, and it is useful to me. I also prefer the titanium case, nice tobacco dial and I like that the movement is from Panerai. Of ...

the date, in my personal opinion, doesn't belong on this watch. I'm seeing more and more recent models with dates and eventually I'll get used to it but not on that watch. Cheers
